ARTIST IN RESIDENCE Badlands National Park. Monday, April 25, 2011. After collecting Nick from the airport we continued west to the Grand Tetons. Between the Badlands and the Tetons lies a 10,000ft mountain pass and luckily, despite 10ft of snow, the pass was open. In less than an hour the car developed a brown shaggy icicle beard and whilst others whizzed passed in heated cars wearing t-shirts we trembled along under blankets, thermals and down jackets.
