Polychromatic Thoughts: February 2015
http://polychromes.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
The journal of a painter who likes to write. Saturday, February 14, 2015. Old Skool Picnic Pavilion. After a two year hiatus, I am officially back in my painting groove. I had to relearn a few things and, as always, learned some new things along the way. Old Skool Picnic, Lakewood Pavilion, 6 x 12 inches. I forced myself to leave my comfort zone with this painting, deliberately tackling the challenge of painting deep shadows using only warm colors- no blues allowed! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Polychromatic Thoughts: August 2012
http://polychromes.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
The journal of a painter who likes to write. Sunday, August 19, 2012. I've been painting in the window at Howland-Hughes since the beginning of July, and it's really a great experience. On one level, it's great because it gives me a good-size space in which to work on a large canvas, and because it forces me to paint at least one day a week. Photo by John Murray of The Waterbury Observer. The latest photo of my Fulton Park painting. For the full series of progress images, visit my Facebook album.

The purpose of this blog is to provide a forum where involved citizens of Waterbury can discuss the positive changes that are occuring in the city. Thursday, October 27, 2011. Over the past week I have seen quite a few disturbing signs out of the O'Leary for Mayor camp that makes me feel that Commissioner O'Leary would not make a good Mayor for the city of Waterbury. The first example of questionable leadership arose back on the 20th when Ruben Rodriguez. I don't pay for political support," O'Leary said&...

Polychrome Prairie | The artistic stylings of Anne S.
The artistic stylings of Anne S. February 24, 2015. A first attempt in collage. This was based on some still life elements, and some improvised. This project was a definite learning experience.
