Jermil's Sleep Blog. I'm experimenting with polyphasic sleep and documenting the insanity. My 6am nap went very well. I fell asleep within maybe 5 minutes and woke up with the alarm. I felt ok after I woke up. Not extremely tired but not really awake either. I didn’t do much during this time between the naps. Nothing really seemed important enough to tackle. I did make breakfast though. My 2pm, 6pm, 10pm, and 2am naps were great! Subscribe in a reader. Enter your email address to get email updates:.

I'm on an Everyman Sleep Schedule. Blogs of two engineer students trying out the Everyman polyphasic sleeping cycle. Saturday, December 20, 2008. Day 72: two lie ins in two days . My nap was really good, and as usual since a couple of days, I felt completely revived as soon as I woke up. For my 6.4 nap, I tried to sleep a little longer. I put my alarm clock 5 minutes late and actually, I woke up five minutes before my alarm clock, at 2229 to be precise! So i though that was pretty cool. Day 71 and 7.2.

I'm trying a new sleep schedule, check here for the scoop. Monday, June 10, 2002. I stepped back into the "mono" life for the last three nights. I had a friend visiting, and if was a little awkward to try and stay up with him sleeping in the front room of the house. Plus, I was getting tired and was ready for a full night's sleep. We'll just have to wait and see.

Polyphasic sleep

It all started with a Kuro5hin. About the Uberman or polyphasic sleep schedule. The idea is to live healthily on far less sleep than normal. It is based on the theory that the mind performs most of its recuperative tasks in half a dozen short bursts spread out through a normal, monophasic night's sleep. If the brain could be persuaded to do this useful sleep all in a block, we would need to sleep for only an hour and a half! So, you want to try it too? If you can resist the temptation to do the dramatic,...

I'm trying a new sleep schedule, check here for the scoop. Wednesday, June 19, 2002. In any case, the number of hours I'm sleeping has definitely increase over the 4 hour 20 minutes of the original plan. I'm guessing that I'm getting more like 6 a night, but broken up into many naps and a longer core sleep. I'll try to keep better track in the name of science.

Jermil's Sleep Blog. I'm experimenting with polyphasic sleep and documenting the insanity. Oversleeping During Adaptation Phase of Uberman Sleep. For the past few days, I’ve been finding myself oversleeping while trying to adapt to the Uberman sleep schedule. I would go to sleep at 2am and wake up at 6am. Or I’d go to sleep at 6am and wake up at noon! I realized the problem was that I shut my alarm off and go back to bed before I’m fully awake. I don’t even have a chance to fight it! Well today, I decide...

Jermil's Sleep Blog. I'm experimenting with polyphasic sleep and documenting the insanity. Day 4 – Very Vivid Dream. After my 6am sleep, I felt so refreshed that I thought I overslept. It may have been due to the extra nap I took while watching a movie the morning before or maybe it was because my sleep schedule had been thrown off. Whatever the reason, I haven’t that good since starting this experiment. After that vivid dream, I read about vivid and lucid dreaming. I also noticed a few days ago that I&#...

I embarked on a 9 hour road trip from Virginia to Michigan the day before Thanksgiving.
