So i have brought this same orange back and forth from home to work every day for a week and have yet to eat it. i tend to prefer to drink fruit rather than expel all that energy peeling and chewing, who has the time? I have gone so many days thinking about eating it and not doing so that it seemed like a good idea to just let it hang around until it rots. at this point i don't have the heart to eat it and it adds a little life to my office. Empty bowls is a national initiative founded in 1990 by a michigan high school art teacher and his students. at an empty bowls dinnners, guests are served a simple meal of soup and bread in return for a monetary donation to benefit local anti hunger efforts. each guest chooses a hand-made ceramic bowl to keep as a reminder of those whose bowls are empty. www.emptybowls.net. Friday, December 28, 2007. Support the local community food bank. Non perishable items are needed. Fruit, veg juice 100% any kind. The food bank serves a LOT of people through food pantries, after school programs, soup kitchens, and shelters and is currently in dire need of donations. donations help feed local children, adults and the elderly who struggle due to low wages, unemployment, homelessness, a fixed income or temp emergencies. And I have a card that says "Carly is." and I have other. Cards that say Dining Hall, In A Meeting, Off Campus, etc., to let my residents know where to find me (although one of them is "In love" and it gets put up more often than not by one of my RAs).
