Ponderings of India

An expat tries to make sense of it all. Thursday, 28 July 2011. What to do with "the help". The truth is, though, that we can only do so much so we hire our help, treat them with respect and caring and over pay them.and constantly give thanks for the conditions under which we are lucky enough to live our lives. Ponderings of India: April 2011

http://www.ponderingsofindia.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

An expat tries to make sense of it all. Tuesday, 26 April 2011. Why don't people want girls? I keep hearing of the skewed sex ratio in India where many more boys than girls are born. This is supposedly created by aborting female fetuses. Apparently, ultrasound labs have popped up all over the country and even in remote villages and for a small "fee", they will tell you the sex of your baby. To be fair, not all labs will do this but a significant number will. Also, girls go to live with the grooms family ...

Ponderings of India: March 2011

http://www.ponderingsofindia.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

An expat tries to make sense of it all. Tuesday, 29 March 2011. Trying to figure it all out. You can't come to India to live and not need to try to figure out why things are as they are. Well, I suppose you could, but it would be such a waste. India is a country where things happen on a daily basis that make no sense to the average westerner. For instance, why are there men relieving themselves along the sides of every road, and I mean in the city? How do they pull that off everyday? Posted by No Frills.

An expat tries to make sense of it all. Tuesday, 17 May 2011. So many cows but where is the cheese? Distance makes the heart grow fonder. You never truly appreciate something until it is gone. Yes, I am talking about cheese. You are literally tripping over cows in this country so why the dearth in cheese? Posted by No Frills. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our footprints in India: april 2012

http://ourfootprintsinindia.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Our footprints in India.

Our footprints in India: juni 2012

http://ourfootprintsinindia.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Our footprints in India.

Our footprints in India: september 2011

http://ourfootprintsinindia.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Our footprints in India. Fredag 30 september 2011.

Our footprints in India: juni 2011

http://ourfootprintsinindia.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Our footprints in India. Tisdag 21 juni 2011.

http://ourfootprintsinindia.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Our footprints in India. Onsdag 30 november 2011.

http://ourfootprintsinindia.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Our footprints in India.

Our footprints in India: januari 2011

http://ourfootprintsinindia.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Our footprints in India. Fredag 28 januari 2011. Ganska...

Our footprints in India: Längtar efter snö och kyla!

http://ourfootprintsinindia.blogspot.com/2012/12/langtar-efter-sno-och-kyla.html

Our footprints in India. Fredag 14 december 2012.

Our footprints in India: maj 2011

http://ourfootprintsinindia.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Our footprints in India.

Ponderings of a Theatre Addict

Ponderings of a Theatre Addict. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Peace Out to My Ponderings. Sunday, February 27, 2011. So I'm totally obsessed with Glee. I have too much time on my hands and it is what is consuming it. I've found myself bothered lately by the plot line. Santana is a mouthy tiny woman. Seriously, she is probably my height and probably 110 pounds. That is tiny! Shouldn't they be suspended or something? Should have sent Santana to the hospital! When she called her a bitch. It pissed me off!

The thoughts of a twenty-something stumbling her way through life. This post is me trying to make some sort of sense out of the sudden self-destruct mode that both my mind and body are bombarded with on occasion. Nothing to take much notice of. It barely touches the surface of the intense dark periods, doesn’t show the panics and the frustration, the hurt and the anger, and all of that within myself, my mind circling round and round and never being able to escape that. RULES OF WAR: Norms, Laws, and Other Issues. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. ICC and the DRC. The ICC publicly issued a warrant. For the war criminal known as 'the Terminator' in the DRC. This is good news considering the US attempts to undermine the power of the ICC. Also, I think it important that the ICC has already issued three warrants, and has those individuals in custody. Ponderings of a Middle-Aged Mom

It's five days into the new year. I stopped making resolutions eons ago. Only because I never made any that I stuck with. Ever. They were the same every year. Stop biting my nails (happy to say I finally conquered this one. :). Find a new job. (From when I was working.). You get the gist, right? I realized one year that there was no reason to make these silly resolutions that were forgotten almost as quickly as they were made. And that was that. I have not made a resolution in a good fifteen years. Anyon...

Saturday, April 23, 2011. Feeling a Bit Sleep Deprived. I have been pulling some long nights lately getting ready for a portfolio review. The lack of sleep has provoked some thoughts out of me regarding a certain myth or fictional character, if you will. The Sandman is a mythical character often associated with sleep. I decided to do a little research behind it and find out more about how this person came to be. I use to think this story must have come about as an explanation for the sand-like crusties y...
