Friday the thirteenth Laurie, Terry and I drove around St. John's, stopping long enough at some of the sights to take pictures. These pictures are taken from Signal Hill. They are a few views of downtown St. John's, the rocks of Signal Hill, and Cabot Tower. Then a quick stop downtown, Gower Street, to photograph some of the traditional buildings. Because the grass is always greener on the other side of the pond. Sunday, October 2, 2011. The next day, May 13th, the four of us took a Regiotaxi to Sealife in Scheveningen. Gwen and I had been there about a year before, and knew it was fun. One interesting detail was the trees just outside our apartment; they were shedding lots of pollen (or something); you could see it drifting by in clouds. It's clearest in the second picture:. Here's a clip (unfortunately it's not as visible as we'd hoped):.

To celebrate the fact that Gwen's actually doing really well, we decided on a whim to go to the zoo! We had a great time at the Blijdorp Zoo; the overhead aquarium with the sharks was the most impressive, though the tigers were pretty cool, too. :). Sunday, June 19, 2011. Elke, Marc en de Kinderen. Het leven van een middelgroot gezin: vader, moeder met vier dochters. Zondag 9 augustus 2015. Anne en Maartje zijn ook weer terug in Nederland. Na een doodvermoeiende reis van zo'n 26 uur kwamen ze met hun troep Pijlerdam aan in Bergen op Zoom. Het gezin is weer compleet. Langzaam komen de verhalen los. Veel verhalen worden verrijkt met badges, petjes en andere parafernalia die ze tijdens hun reis door Japan hebben verzameld. Ze hebben in Japan toch zeker wel Nutella? 19 august...
