It was his first and included a 1.3 mile bike race without training wheels (notable because he just learned to ride without training wheels on Wednesday). Everyone in the family was very excited to watch him compete and we were so proud of him for finishing! Life in the Bend. Saturday, July 28, 2012. Links to this post. Thursday, July 19, 2012. Life in The Bend: Moving and Some Thoughts on Transracial Adoption
http://lifeinthebend.blogspot.com/2013/06/moving-and-some-thoughts-on-transracial.html
Life in The Bend. Monday, June 10, 2013. Moving and Some Thoughts on Transracial Adoption. My darling eldest child was astonished to see these previously-lost pictures from when Paul and I bought our house nearly eight years ago. I'm too short on time to make Blogger behave and put my photos in correct before-and-after order. Hint: A certain child thinks it all looked better before we ripped out the wall-to-wall carpet and added color to the walls. A new furnace, roof, and windows! A lot of the neighbors...

http://lifeinthebend.blogspot.com/2013/07/tenacious-tiruye.html
Life in The Bend. Sunday, July 21, 2013. My baby turned three last week and the word tenacious was made to describe her:. Not readily letting go of, giving up, or separated from an object that one holds, a position, or a principle: "a tenacious grip". Not easily dispelled or discouraged; persisting in existence or in a course of action: "a tenacious legend". And has asked for her room to be decorated with pictures of A. She has taken to swimming lessons with great joy and fearlessness. NB: Please note th...

The big kids started at a new school where they have thrived, while Paul and I both took on new jobs that have been positive moves for us and our family. Life in the Bend. Monday, April 06, 2015.
