Friday, September 28, 2007. Good News - Bad News from Verizon. I received this letter from Verizon FiOS this week, informing me that the monthly service rate is going up to $47.99 (from $39.99). Fortunately, I confirmed via phone that the rate increase doesn't actually affect me, since I just signed a new contract with a bundled rate for data, TV and phone. The kicker is the fluffy corporate slogan at the top of the letter:. The only thing better than Verizon FiOS today is Verizon FiOS tomorrow.
