Introduction to "campers"
Wednesday, June 10, 2009. What is the age group of the homeless people in Deland. Although homelessness affects all ages, we primarily see men ages 30-50 and a few now and then in their teens and 20's. The younger ones seem to stay with friends more often. About how many of them have or are looking for a job? I would say of the 30 that we feed regularly, being 2 times a week, have would work if give an opportunity. Are the people friendly? Seem to be friendlier than those of surrounding areas, Daytona.
