WHERE TO GO IN ANDALUSIA. WHERE TO EAT IN ANDALUSIA. FOODIE T(R)IPS AROUND THE WORLD. Thursday, 4 April 2013. Chipirones - tiny, tiny squid. Though all this cooking might be hard on the hands, it sure is easy on the eye. I just love mooching around the local shops, admiring their offerings. There are bakeries, greengrocers, butchers and fishmongers. The other day I walked down to Arroyo. This time my bounty consisted of. Tiny, tiny calamari that I haven't often come across in the shops. Why) Drain on kit...

WHERE TO GO IN ANDALUSIA. WHERE TO EAT IN ANDALUSIA. FOODIE T(R)IPS AROUND THE WORLD. Monday, 30 March 2015. Food memories from Tunisia: Tunisian fish keftas. That also reflects on my photos from that time - owing to the general unrest and unpredictable conditions travelling around Tunisia was unfortunately not much of an option. Most of the photos I have seem to revolve around riots in the capital and refugee camps at the Libyan border. Are something I do have! Notre princess", he would say as he'd bow ...

WHERE TO GO IN ANDALUSIA. WHERE TO EAT IN ANDALUSIA. FOODIE T(R)IPS AROUND THE WORLD. Thursday, 1 May 2014. Moving is every bit as dreadful as I remembered. And moving in, let me tell you, in particular. Boys, you see, have ridiculous amounts of socks. Which makes absolutely no sense seeing how in general they, too, only tend to have two feet. Though girls do have inordinately many pairs of shoes. That come with matching bags. Should there ever be a next time, I'll move in with a legless illiterate.

WHERE TO GO IN ANDALUSIA. WHERE TO EAT IN ANDALUSIA. FOODIE T(R)IPS AROUND THE WORLD. Thursday, 21 May 2015. Asian apricot and ginger glazed chicken skewers. Surely it's time to kick off the barbecue season? Or, as my alter ego Hyacinth Bucket would probably put it: a "Shakespearean banquet of carnivorous delights followed by piano recitals". The surprise hit of our BBQ season last summer was chicken hearts. In case you find some, I recommend you use boneless thighs. They are packed. 1/4 dl soy sauce.

Already hating this weekend - what with The Officially Most Romantic Day just around to corner with no-one to share it with? No-one to bicker with over an overpriced menu "specially designed for two" while witnessing 3 proposals (out of which none is to you? Has Ryan Gosling still. Not called and asked you to be his Valentine? Have you been dumped? Time it takes f...

WHERE TO GO IN ANDALUSIA. WHERE TO EAT IN ANDALUSIA. FOODIE T(R)IPS AROUND THE WORLD. Friday, 24 July 2015. Korean kitchen just goes above my understanding. How can fermentation on one hand produce something as noble as wine, yet also result in something as incomprehensible as kimchi? These days that earthy chilli-based paste (result of fermentation, this too) can be found in regular supermarkets, so shop away! As a side this is enough for 3, in burgers or hot dogs for 6. 1/2 dl sesame seeds. Combine the...

WHERE TO GO IN ANDALUSIA. WHERE TO EAT IN ANDALUSIA. FOODIE T(R)IPS AROUND THE WORLD. Life has plenty of mundanity in store for all of us which is why I try to bring a little bit of celebration to every day. That is why you don't often see "proper meals" at my table (or in this blog). Instead we lay out a tapas-style tasting menu with many small dishes. Greediness certainly plays a part: I want to try. And you're all invited! Please don't hesitate to get in touch!
