Life and Work at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya. Monday, August 30, 2010. Anna and I (Toanh) recently visited Ong Ngoai and Ba Ngoai (Vietnamese names for Grandpa and Grandma) in California. My parents took us to the San Diego Zoo. What an amazing place. This 100-acre zoo is home to over 4,000 animals and 700,000 exotic plants. As part of our admission pass, a 45 minute guided double-decker bus tour was included. As an OB/GYN and a mom, I was especially fascinated by the Masai giraffe’s reproduction. She seeme...

Life and Work at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya. Saturday, April 30, 2011. Here are some pictures we'd like to share from last weekend's Easter festivities. Good Friday and Monday were considered holidays so we had a four day weekend with the kids. Even in Kenya, there was plenty of Easter fun for Anna and Leo. On Friday, the kids decorated sugar cookies at Dr. Carol Spears' house. On Saturday, all the kids on the compound joined together for an Easter Egg Hunt with plenty of candy-filled eggs for everyone.

Life and Work at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya. Friday, May 27, 2011. It's amazing that Anna has completed an entire second grade homeschooling curriculum in less than nine months. She worked very hard and learned so many new things. We would be lying if we said that homeschooling was a walk-in-the-park. But, as with anything challenging, you receive so much more satisfaction and reward when you successfully complete it. When we packed up for home, her books totaled 75 pounds! July 21, 2015. Censorship on the Twitter Feed. I found out there is a new type of censorship which has been placed on my Twitter account, my posts aren’t showing up in the Twitter feed. This is only the latest for me! I’ve been censored also on Twitter, the shadow-banning of comment replies, it was the reason I began this blog. I have been censored on Facebook which, credit to them, took the censorship off. I have been censored on Gawker which did the same. As usual per them, they will point the finger:.
