People who see me around probably wonder why I always have a tube in my nose. (It's oxygen, of course, but that doesn't explain much.) Or why I can't work. Or why I ride around the stores and elsewhere on a scooter. I was born with a congenital heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot. Apparently doctors can do nothing to reverse my decline. LITTLE BLOG OF PHLEGM. A blog about mucus, yes mucus. Some of us have too much of it. We look at the colour and consistency of something most people find totally yukky! A blog by and for people with chronic lung disease with phlegm. 20 December, 2006. An increase in mucus production is a common symptom of acute bronchitis, influenza and the common cold. Mucus production usually returns to normal once the infection has cleared up. Bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis. Mucus which is too thick or sticky.
