Back to the Beginning. A Bit About John. John Barclay-Morton: High Dynamic Range Imaging. HDR images are created by blending together a number of photographs taken with different exposures. This techniques captures extended detail in both highlights and shadows, even in extreme lighting conditons. I will often combine together up to 12 separate exposures to create one HDR image. Interior with sunlit exterior. Directly into the sun. Open shade; white house. Sun under forest canopy. Sunset in deep shade.

Starting from shooting simple landscapes with a shift/tilt lens, I soon began to use the shift function to create panoramas. Some are standard horizontal panoramas; some are vertical panoramas; and some are horizontal panoramas in vertical format.
