Icon tutorial - JDSanctuary. 30 June 2010 @ 10:16 pm. Step 1 Take your base and duplicate it once. Flip that duplicate horizontally (edit transform flip horizontally). And place it so that only the top is showing on the bottom of your icon. You may have to crop the top and move your main base a little. Step 2 Add a new fill colour (Layer new fill layer solid colour.). Set to colour burn/burn 100%. This will darken the image and add some blues to prep it up for the next colour fills.
