Dear Diary
http://butterflylitgirllog.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
When I try to tell you. Like a piece of paper I don’t want you to read. If you see it, read the words lining up. All the ways I love you, checked off by number and name. What will you hug to your heart and call your own. I want to thank you a million times over for every word that floats. Jumping through the air. Pressing into my soft places. Brushing my lips, dropping into my heart, coating it. Tickling just behind my left ear. Yet, I do not feel swept away. I watch as it swells up and surrounds me.

Poetry Playplace: Still behind.
http://sillyplayplace.blogspot.com/2008/10/still-behind.html
I did write a few words on the page, but nothing that went anywhere. I decided to officially take this day off even though the point is you don't take days off. While my daughter was at school I went to a neighbor's house and enjoyed some adult company. I stressed about finances. I went to the library. We played in the park and had a picnic. My 5 year old got her own library card. Let's just pretend this is a poem. Let's pretend it is engaging. Today I was supposed to write a poem in list format.

Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Gold After Gray – Part 2. The waitress watched the smile vanish from his face and she felt as if someone had turned out the lights. She stood, slouching, tapping her pen on a green pad, waiting for him to give her his order, which she hadn’t asked to take. 8221; One of the perspiring truckers was yelling. “Hey you! 8221; She was standing still waiting for the stranger to acknowledge her again. “Hey bitch! 8220;Yeah, mighty rude… the bastard.” He agreed. 8220;You are a might...
