We have been studying Papua New Guinea history this last term and learned that one of the main exports is coffee. Becky and I share the birthday of October 3 (as do so many others! This year Becky and I had a pinochle party. Our parties are really an excuse to have yummy food and hang out with friends. When Lon was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago, Aaron and Brad wanted to make sure he had the chance to scuba dive in Hawaii. Since he developed a blood clot in the fall, he was prevented from diving at all. This summer, when Lon asked his oncologist about the possibility of diving now that the clot is gone, she gave her okay. They took five days and made it happen! Aaron, Brad and Lon. Saturday, October 16, 2010. Just a little update on Liana. Monday she had a check up with her surgeon and cardiologist. Both were very pleased with her progress. Her heart looks good. Her body responded very well to the Fontan procedure. The chest x-ray was clear. Liana has no fluid build up in her lungs! It took two medical people, plus us parents, to hold her still.
