positivelycarrie: A long week of baby measles
http://positivelycarrie.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-long-week-of-baby-measles.html
A long week of baby measles. To be living upstairs for a few months. Mercy three: the kindest, most compassionate doctor in the ER, who was so gentle with Eric and so reassuring to us. In addition, zero wait time in the ER. So, whew. We've had long days and long nights this week. But there's been little joys, too. To which he said, No. Eric, me! September 12, 2014 at 4:24 PM. Wow, Carrie- you have had quite a week! What do you think? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A long week of baby measles.

The one where the pool table doesn't fit up the stairs. Hard-working Northfield students.thanks so much guys! Needing another half inch. Okay, let's take the door off. And the sides of the pool table. At this point, Zoe and I went to the grocery store. When we got home, we were greeted by this. Taking it to the roof. I am really glad I wasn't here for this part. Up the ladder onto the roof? Notice there is no glass in that window. Nathaniel's dream come true! A pool table upstairs! Hanging with Uncle Mike.

A transition, and it will. Get better and easier and smoother, it's just that there's no promise of when. My hope for myself and everyone else that finds themselves transitioning to something or away from something would find true Peace. The Unnecessary Burden of Guilt. But I digress.). So this matter of feeling guilty. I felt guilty this morning about not being gracious, but mostly what I was upset about was that he DIDN'T feel guilty about sleeping in. Because I would have. So he should have. Isn't that the most warped thing? So I'm still working through all this and trying to figure out why my first inclination is to feel guilt. Perhaps it's my background of Calvinism? Sin is ever before me and in me? Or a correct one? We went out to ...

A Wok on the Prairie: Silent Song
http://lisalynnae.blogspot.com/2014/03/silent-song.html
Monday, March 24, 2014. I can't sing that song without crying,"he says. Which part," she asks as she tries to remember. The part that says,. While I draw this fleeting breath,. When mine eyes shall close in death,. When I fly to worlds unknown,. See Thee on Thy judgment throne,. Rock of Ages, cleft for me,. Let me hide myself in Thee,. She draws a breath and asks, "Why? Lung cancer, fleeting breath, flying, too many memories of our friend yet still too fresh.". Where the heart is. View my complete profile.

Sunday, December 13, 2015. Edges of possibility. Boundaries. Lines. Call it what you'd like to call it. The problem I think you are having," I said after thinking about it for about a week, "is limits.". Saturday, June 15, 2013. As I've confessed, I need organizational reform school. Here's a few things I've learned along my journey. 1 "A place for everything.". As the saying goes, if your things have a home you are less likely to live with lots of clutter underfoot. Decide what is essential and non-essential. Do you have duplicates of anything? Get rid of the extras and you'll be surprised how much space you will have. Learn to give to others what you do not need or have outgrown. 9 Re-purpose or recycl...

Monday, April 29, 2013. My least favorite season of the year has come. It has me packing us a survival kit, and hunkered down in front of the storm radio when the winds get fierce. Our friend the weatherman says it is his favorite season. I'm sure it isn't one of my husband's favorite seasons because in the middle of the night when I hear a strong wind I ask, "Do you think we are in danger of having a tornado? Do you have severe weather in your part of the country? What do you do when it comes? But the d...

Wednesday, January 29, 2014. I picked up blogging again in 2009 when my husband and I moved overseas. The blog I started in 2002 was erased, so I had to start at a totally new one. And then. I didn't know what to write about. The first time one goes overseas, everything is so new and fresh. The second time? Not so much. My husband was experiencing culture shock of the extreme kind- -"Why do bikes ride on sidewalks, and run the people over? And "Where is the personal space for me on this bus? We're trying...

A Wok on the Prairie: The Balance
http://lisalynnae.blogspot.com/2015/12/the-balance.html
Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Whenever I blog, there are two main thoughts I have after I have hit publish, or before I delete the entire work. One, have I over shared? Am I at risk of putting myself way too much out there? Does it seem like I'm too into myself and my life? And two, is this my story to share and is now the time to share it? Can I do justice to this story, or is it best left buried? Brene Brown talks about this in her book, Daring Greatly. I want the healing. I want it now, and for it ...
