Cats watch us from a safe distance under trees with a fair mix of curiosity and suspicion. I don’t see any other people. It is the middle of the day and I suppose most are at work. Artfully Exploring the Mountains of North Carolina. Seeing in New Ways. Throughout the season of Lent a canvas labyrinth has been placed in the chapel at the church where I work. I took time to walk it on Thursday and the experience was enlightening. At first I was self conscious, taking off my shoes and preparing to walk. What if someone sees me? I don’t even attend this church. I’m not some new age spiritual person. Who am I to think I belong in this sacred place? Feeling vulnerable is good, right?
