Potana is a very well known Telugu poet and a great devotee. He had the Divine Vision suggesting to him to translate Bhagavatam written by Vyasa Maharshi into Telugu. The poet says " It is impossible to understand Bhagavatamu even for Mahavishnu or Lord Siva and so I will say what all I learnt from knowledgeable elders and what all is clear to me". He translated in to very memorable telugu stanzas. These stanzas are very popular and many are to be memorized.
