Delicious Homemade Soup Recipes Blog. Latvian Bread Soup is a dessert made out of sweetened dark rye bread, dried fruit, water and whipped cream. Something about this cold, thick, sweet soup just captured my heart and always reminds me of my Motherland. I am able to buy traditional dark rye (Borodinsky brand) at local International Food Store and save a few slices in the freezer for this dessert sometime in the future. I love this soup! It is healthy and delicious. What do you think? 20 g brown sugar.
