A Chronicle of Memorable Moments in the Life of our Family. Saturday, March 27, 2010. Please excuse my lengthy absence! We have officially managed to move our household halfway across the country, do-it-yourself style. Today is the first day I have had access to my computer in about a week. The TV is still in a box, so I am really living in a news blackout. Someone call me if there's something huge going on and I just don't know it! Just for the record, I have not seen a single chain coffee shop here yet!

Friday, August 15, 2008. This morning the phone rang around 7:30. I assumed it was an insurance adjuster. Then I noticed on the Caller ID that it was the Carol Stream Police. When I answered the phone, I wondered what they needed. The officer on the phone informed me that they had Garrett's shoes. We have an appointment to pick them up today. Monday, August 11, 2008. It is I. Do not be afraid". As was our experience when Garrett was hospitalized last year, he was so cooperative. He didn't complain about the neck brace or the IVs or all the poking prodding and questions. Thursday, August 21, 2008. Thank you everyone for all of your prayers for our family and especially for Garrett. He is a walking (running) miracle and a testimony to God's grace in our lives! Also, when he runs, he is dragging one of his legs. He says nothing hurts, but it seems to bother him to put pressure on his left leg. All the good stuff. Thursday, June 2, 2011. 1st grade play and award ceremony. Seth looks so excited to be playing the role of Willy goat in the first grade production of. The Three Nanny Goats Gruff. He actually played the exact same part that Josh played when he was in Mrs. Flanagans class. He did a fine job, thank goodness the girls had the majority of the speaking parts. I am not sure they always "think" their plans completely through. As long as they use it for good they will make a great team.
