Friday, November 19, 2010. Hello all. I know it has been a long time since my last blog but that's because there isn't much news to share. So I'll just dive in. I received a job offer to work at the int'l school part-time (2 days a week) this year and it is really great! I teach ESL for pre-schoolers PS and MS (3-4 yr olds). It is a lot of fun. Saturday, August 4, 2012. Oh, the dreaded and mysterious Ramadan. Business hours get messed up, restaurants close during the day. Starbucks isn't open at the mall anymore. My life is over, or is it? Ramadan is time of the great fast. No drinking or eating while the sun is up. People's clocks get reversed. Breakfast starts at Ftour, this year, around 7:45 PM when the sun goes down. People start with dates, sweets, croissants, tsimmon (moroccan pancakes) and harera (moroccan tomato soup), coffee or tea.

From the moment he woke up, the girls were loving him and praising him even more than usual. They were so very proud that their little brother is ONE YEAR OLD! The D Family Blog. Thursday, November 18, 2010. My girls love to draw and color. They have a few jumbo coloring books - Hello Kitty and My Little Pony. The sheets are twice as big as a normal book - and the pictures have a lot of detail. White I sit working on the computer the girls come by and show me their work - and it really does look pretty! Ev was working on a Hello Kitty page - all in blue. So, who is talking about allergies so much? I just don't know. Regardless - so funny! Happy Birthday, Cooper!

I'd never made it, but took the plunge for Christmas evening - and man was it tasty! When you cut it open it is just beautiful and the taste makes it even better. 2 1/2 cups (250 grams) sifted cake flour. 2 tablespoons (15 grams) regular or Dutch-processed cocoa powder. 1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
