Monday, May 30, 2011. In spite of B not feeling too hot this past weekend (we ended up missing a friend's wedding Friday night :( we attempted to carry on for Saturday. We had been planning for a while to go down and visit Mammaw Ballard (Brian's maternal grandmother) and we decided to throw in a trip to Global Wildlife Center which is not too far from her house. We told Trissy we had a surprise for her, and when she woke up from her nap she was sooo excited! Can't you just see it in that smile? I think ...

Friday, August 31, 2012. What a difference a few short days can make in the lives of many. I don't know how many people check on us via the blog anymore since my delinquent posting, but update the few of you I shall :). Wednesday, August 29, 2012. A Happy 1st "Bee-day" Party! We had AK's 1st birthday party a few weeks ago, and went with the theme "Happy Bee-day" since AK is such a "busy bee" herself :) Seriously, at one she is into everything, climbing on everything, and following her sister (or mom or d...

Monday, April 30, 2007. Mickleson and Mattie Anne News. Mickelson's haircut is probably our most exciting news. Matt has been studying for boards and I go to work. Not much new there. I had a conference in Chicago this weekend; I had never been to Chicago so it was neat seeing the sites. I bought a Cubs sweatshirt that I'm sure will get much wear. Oh, and we have new baby news! He did eventually see though! We are headed to Destin with Matt's family next week! I'll post pics from out trip week after next!

Tuesday, October 16, 2012. I know I often have lots of time lapses on this here blog, but this time its for a good reason. I promise. Our first house back in Louisiana, great size. Lived here: 2 years. I love our first little house. We moved to Texas from here for Matt to get his MBA at Texas A&M. Our tiny little apartment in a four-plex building. Lived here: almost 3 yrs. It was pretty cozy. We gave more than half of our stuff to our parents and anyone that would help to store it all for us. Loved this ...

Oswalts Gone Country: July 2011

Saturday, July 30, 2011. So as an English teacher, I am aware that there is no plural for "fish," but we did see lots of them at the Aquarium in New Orleans the other day. We celebrated our last "official" day of freedom by taking Tris to her birthplace. We've never been to an aquarium with her before, so it was fun for all.an added bonus = NOT outside in 100 degree heat! Loved the tunnel and seeing the sting rays gliding over our heads! Seems like a swell idea to me right about now! Watching the shark "...

Saturday, February 19, 2011. We're "Alive, alive, alive- hallelujah! Anyway, we do exist and I am procrastinating the large amount papers I have to grade and the journal article due for my grad school class to bring you this long awaited (for all two of you) blog posting. This was a cake for our friend Jackson's 2nd birthday party! It was a farm theme and his mom Lindsey decorated everything SUPER CUTE! There was even a pony and a rabbit that made an appearance at the party. How cute is this? It was so f...

Monday, May 28, 2012. I must say I appreciate her expertise as a 2nd year teacher who sometimes struggles with efficient grading! Honey will now actually begin to enjoy her retirement, but we were always be thankful for her presence and gift of her time for this year. We can't sing her praises enough! When she and Papa drove away tonight, Trissy sadly whined, "I miss my Honey! A refrain that we will all probably echo in the coming weeks. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Merry Good Molasses Cookies.

Saturday, August 20, 2011. Welcome Avery Kate Oswalt! Cue the mommy guilt already for the second child- I am just now blogging about her arrival! Trissy came to visit when she woke up. We had lots of explaining to do about the IV's since she was worried I was sick. It became a REALLY long day and I had a pitocin drip all day to induce my labor. With Tris I went into natural labor, and I think I highly recommend that route (if possible! Tris came up first thing the next morning to meet her little sister!

Friday, August 31, 2012. What a difference a few short days can make in the lives of many. I don't know how many people check on us via the blog anymore since my delinquent posting, but update the few of you I shall :). We do take so much for granted and are quick to complain about daily, insignificant details. Situations that occur as a result of hurricanes, etc. definitely redirects our perspective. Hopefully, those directly affected will not be forgotten, especially through prayer. Tha...A “Mama...
