Pour it from the sky. My intentions in October started off with a bang . and didn't end quite as strong. But the point for me was to think of small goals to shoot for during the month, and writing them down and blogging about them made me think on it more. It also made me excited when the end of October came because I could start fresh with intentions for November. Walk or yoga every day. Read and journal on one Proverb a day. Only eat sitting down. Blogging 2x a week. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Pour it from the sky. While everyone was getting pumped up about the new year, I was too, just in a more quiet fashion. This year I took a bit of time to sit and reflect and think - what do I want 2014 to look like? Where do I want to grow? How do I want our days to look? And, of course, the year started out with a bang and a rush of movement and it has slowed. Both of my children, in very different ways, are the picture of a dream come true. The tangible of them being here and with us is such a picture to me of God hearing my prayers and giving beyond what we could ask or expect. What a thought - these tiny sparks of life grow and become full. That's sort of the sentiment of Advent, isn't it? 4 Phase out coffee.

Then you can get fun activities in with them and it's not overwhelming! Day 1: Light and Darkness -Marco Polo. Day 2: Water and Sky -Play in the rain or sprinkler, go to a water park. Day 3: Dry Land and Plants- Go for a hike or a playground in the forest. Day 5: Birds and Fish -Eat goldfish, go fishing, or go to the aquarium. Color rock and write Acts 7 on it.

It's from the perspective of a doctor who has a near death experience. A science meets faith perspective. It wasn't my favorite heaven book thus far but it was an interesting read.
