I am her mom. Walking with her as she struggles with depression. August 27, 2013. We’ve been going along quite nicely since hospital discharge nearly 3 weeks ago. She is shut down during the meeting. I try to be respectful of privacy, her wishes. Try to allow her to have her own voice, not blabbing on about what. Think Not much gets said, but I’m thinking it’s an ok start. My expectations for these types of first meetings are pretty low/realistic. I’m learning to simply pay attention to the feeling.

I/we have seen 3 new therapists in 3 days! 2) inpatient family therapist. 3) DBT therapist (parent version). We seem to be building and rebuilding our therapeutic team based on a few choice “C’s”:.
