At least one thought it was a fine idea but "tacky" was one of the words thrown about by another. Why? Fortunately the individual least amenable to the idea of indoor screen doors will be moving out soon. That's good because when he finds out how I'll be decorating.

Use a variety of shapes and sizes of small cardboard boxes filled with insulating material (fiberglass insulation, packing peanuts, etc.) and seal the box. Use whichever boxes work best to fill the open spaces in your freezer but still allow easy access to your food. Remove boxes when you get more food. Add boxes when you remove food. I heated up water, brown rice, beans (canned), onion, and sausage links on the stove just long enough to get it to a boil.
