Somehow this stirs it all up in my mind, where joy and transparency are met with a passion for the things of God. Where insecurity and guilt are lifted along with ordinances and legalism so that people can finally breathe in the life of Christ. How did the church (read: believers) live their day to day within the culture? Is it solely a matter of conscience?

Plans are paused and man's control is lost. There he is, finally watching the natural things. Staring at the sky, standing in awful fear of the flashes of lightning. Thunder bellows from a dark place. It sounds scary, but increasingly scary as he thinks about how he can't stop it. No, he can not stop it. The scene voices something deep.
