Gypsy: Oh my gosh, it's an old film strip! Oh wait... it's just me.

Oh my gosh, it's an old film strip! Oh wait. it's just me. I found a most amiable outfit that is very fun to wear. I love petticoats. They make me feel old-fashioned. I had everything prepared to go out to the wilderness of the orchard, but then it started raining, so I managed to pin up an old shower curtain to my ceiling. But it kept falling down, which was extremely bothersome. I see you again. but now I'm in an old photo effect. In a dim corner of my room for longer than. Through the shifting gloom.

Gypsy: The Age of Innocence
http://gypsyrm.blogspot.com/2013/08/the-age-of-innocence.html
The Age of Innocence. I sometimes feel as if I was meant to be born in another age. Me in my attire for book club, putting on a hat. I may be romanticizing the "good ole' days". As a matter of fact, I know I am! I know that women had barely any rights, that there was slavery in America, that there were thousands of starving people while others simply sat and had cream tea. Twister Turrel, from Lark Rise to Candleford. American graduation photo from 1912. Dushor, Pennsylvania. I also just love the clothes...

Gypsy: In The Wild of The Orchard, You Can Often Spot Edwardian Girls Reading Poetry
http://gypsyrm.blogspot.com/2013/08/in-wild-of-orchard-you-can-often-spot.html
In The Wild of The Orchard, You Can Often Spot Edwardian Girls Reading Poetry. Another steampunk outfit, this one not very steampunk. I just look Edwardian. I wonder how Edwardians actually sat and read poetry. I really like Emily Bronte's poetry. It is so beautiful and dramatic. My favorite poetry book editions of William Wordsworth and Emily Bronte. I picked some black eyed Susans, and put on my old wedding dress to take some photographs. My favorite dress EVER! And a walk in the meadow. Shining and lo...

Gypsy: September 2012

The nymph settled into her daily routine for spring quickly- bathe in the creek, bless the plants, eat, gather, sleep- although it was much different from her winter one. Sleepily she splashed ice-cold creek water onto her face. Yawning, she went about blessing the plants. Reciting her song was second nature- she remembered the spring growth song well. 8220;With this blessing I clear the way. But from your growth, do not sway. From my tongue I whisper this. Sink into the felling of spring bliss. Soon the...

The price of safety. The cold bites into me, sending shocks of shivers down my spine. I shake my. Legs, attempting to rid myself of the numbness that is creeping up on me. It is what we used to call Winter. The trees that remain are leafless and appear. To be lifeless. The ground is hard and frozen, a thin layer of icy frost coating the. I stop, even though I know that I must keep moving to keep warm. I am so tired…. A vibration rattles through the earth, shaking like the earthquakes that used to. Just a...

Gypsy: My Attractive Steampunk Goggles
http://gypsyrm.blogspot.com/2013/08/my-attractive-steampunk-goggles.html
My Attractive Steampunk Goggles. For the longest time I could not figure out how to get myself some steampunk goggles. I mean, I'm not going to pay 12 billion dollars on Etsy for something that someone somewhere figured out how to make and that I could probably figure out how to make too! So I did some research, on diy steampunk goggles, and found some really cool stuff, like these goggles. Made from mason jar lids. And all of these. And I embroidered a red star on it. Steampunk goggles made of jar lids.

My favorite fashion from the 20s. Lately I have been adoring 1920s fashion. I love the lines and simple designs that were fashionable. I also like late Edwardian fashions. They are interesting because they are right on the line between early Edwardian and post-WWI fashions. Lady Mary's beautiful red gown. Lady Rose, a scandalous young woman! Flora from Cold Comfort Farm. Lady Rose's outfit does not portray her character. She is a reckless girl who just wants to have fun (girls just wanna have fun! I also...

Gypsy: October 2012

Leaving for the Road. She had always wanted to leave. To walk, for miles and miles and miles, to not have a care where she went. Not a care in the world. But that would not happen, not even when she was eighteen. Her mother and father would never allow it, not in this lifetime nor the next. But every time the wind blew strong, or even just the softest breath of a breeze, she would look out and imagine what was out there. What was there in the beyond. She sighed, but it was more of a groan then a sigh.
