Chronicles of Our Family Adventures. Sunday, November 1, 2009. Fall in New Mexico. And miscellaneous events . . . We had a wonderful time this fall, enjoying the various harvest festivals, pueblo events, Balloon Fiesta, and laying in our supply of green chile, apples and cider, and Estancia Valley pinto beans! Chronicles of Our Family Adventures. Friday, February 6, 2009. Here is a picture from the Open Spaces Visitor's Center in ABQ. The sandhill cranes in the background are feeding on sorgum and mice! The kids had fun watching them from the 'tower' at the top of the building, as well as walking along the Center's gardens and courtyards. Chronicles of Our Family Adventures. Saturday, October 31, 2009. As many of you know, Silas accepted an Intel assignment in Hillsboro, OR for 5 months. We drove to Oregon at the beginning of August- the. Way- north through the top of New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, then left through more of Montana, Idaho, Washington, to Oregon. We had fun visiting friends and family along the way, and greatly enjoyed the wilds of the western United States! Our cute little 'patio house' in a cozy cul de sac.
