Two Birds on the Land: Sleeping Beauty, or looking for inspiration in all the wrong places
http://twobirdsontheland.blogspot.com/2012/08/sleeping-beauty-or-looking-for.html
Two Birds on the Land. Two Birds on the Land Spring Migration Tour. Friday, August 17, 2012. Sleeping Beauty, or looking for inspiration in all the wrong places. I hate that agitated feeling. I want to write, I think I should be writing, it is my “writing time”. And I haven’t a clue how to get started, or even what to get started on. But what is it exactly? What is it I think I’m missing? Wouldn't that be nice? Maybe I’m not looking for the wonderful idea to be handed to me on a platter. Maybe ...Hopeles...

Taming the Junkyard Dog: DYLAN AT THE BEAT MUSEUM
http://tamingjunkyarddog.blogspot.com/2012/09/dylan-at-beat-museum.html
Taming the Junkyard Dog. Sunday, September 16, 2012. DYLAN AT THE BEAT MUSEUM. DYLAN AT THE BEAT MUSEUM. I went to the beat museum. But they wanted eight dollars. Eight dollars of my hard earned money. Eight dollars of my cracking eggs for the people on the sidewalk. Eight dollars of slicing peppers and peeling onions in a kitchen. Eight dollars of my eyes weeping as I slice. Eight dollars, man. For eight dollars I could buy a roll of paper. Or a typewriter ribbon. To unroll my blood, sweat, and tears.

Taming the Junkyard Dog: THE BEEHIVE
http://tamingjunkyarddog.blogspot.com/2011/06/beehive.html
Taming the Junkyard Dog. Monday, June 6, 2011. I want a beehive for my tombstone. No formaldehyde for me. Just sprinkle seeds of clover. I’ll be breakfast for the bee. For I’ve lived my life in cycles. And this is just one more. I’ll be waiting for the morning to arrive. And the bee will take me round the bend. And then she will return. Collecting her nectar for the hive. I want a beehive for my tombstone. No formaldehyde for me. Just sprinkle seeds of clover. I’ll be breakfast for the bee. I'm not reall...

Two Birds on the Land: Give yourself a challenge!
http://twobirdsontheland.blogspot.com/2012/07/give-yourself-challenge.html
Two Birds on the Land. Two Birds on the Land Spring Migration Tour. Thursday, July 5, 2012. Give yourself a challenge! When I'm feeling dragged down by heat and the press of things that never seem to take form, no matter how good my intentions, I remember this talk by Matt Cutts and his challenge to try something new for 30 days. Take a look at this video. If you want to make a small, sustainable change in your writing life. Matt Cutt's TED talk was the spark for my own project, 31 Haiku. There's no end ...

Two Birds on the Land: Writing and Wordlessness
http://twobirdsontheland.blogspot.com/2012/03/writing-and-wordlessness.html
Two Birds on the Land. Two Birds on the Land Spring Migration Tour. Friday, March 30, 2012. It is a great thing to know the season for speech and the season for silence. Seneca (5 BC - 65 AD). It’s noisy out there! As writers, words are our raw materials – but sometimes the words, the trivial drivel, the common and cliché words make the world a sloppy and unappetizing alphabet soup – somehow the word is too much with us. Is there a switch inside us to turn off words? Some ways to drop into wordlessness:.

Thursday, October 21, 2010. Who doesn't love bunting? It exudes jubilation (ok, it can also exude "used car lot" but hopefully this brings out the former! Here's an easy pattern for a candy corn bunting to scare up your pumpkin, door or mantle. Small amounts of white, orange, yellow (I used variegated because it's what I had around) cotton (or whatever) yarn. Scraps of black yarn for embroidery. Same black or fancy yarn for chain. I used Lion Brand Midnight Mohair. CANDY CORN (Make 3). With White, ch 3.

I am thankful for it. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. October 14, 2013. Alternate Title: “Why Teacher Training Ruined Yoga for Me”]. Now don’t get me wrong…I love teaching.
