Of cats, craft, and enjoying it all…Whee! Red, Green, Gold, Silver, Blue, and 15% Off. Those are the colors of the winter holidays – rich gem tones that add sparkle to short, dark days. They are the colors of glass, crystal, and stone beads that I gravitate toward when the air turns chilly. Steaming hot cafe mocha replaces iced drinks, and rich chowders take the place of cool potato salad … Continue reading →. Cat Molas, Part 2. Of cats, craft, and enjoying it all…Whee! And Another Thing…. This entry was posted on January 2, 2013, in Craft. What I have the most trouble with is the day-to-day getting through those steps that take me from where I am to where I want and plan to be. So this year’s planning includes what I believe is a modest self-challenge. Make one new design each month employing a technique or material that I have not yet used. And however it turns out, make it public. 2 thoughts on “ And Another Thing…. The ArtFi...
Colors to Brighten Winter Days | The Prancing Otter

Of cats, craft, and enjoying it all…Whee! Colors to Brighten Winter Days. This entry was posted on December 4, 2012, in Craft. When you think of winter, what colors come to mind? Silver-gray or brilliant blue for the sky? Deep green for the evergreen trees? Red and gold for decorations? No matter what your own traditions, you probably have a favorite color that means winter holidays to you. Even the ink you write with life’s too short to fill your personal space with anything but what makes you happy....
In Praise of Mind-Numbing Repetition | The Prancing Otter

Of cats, craft, and enjoying it all…Whee! In Praise of Mind-Numbing Repetition. This entry was posted on January 15, 2013, in Craft. My current big project is a book that will include both photos and text. That doesn’t sound bad. But there will be many more than 1,000 photos on perhaps 600 pages. That’s not bad either, just big. But after a while, I find there is a rhythm to the process. Just as knitting allows the mind to go wandering a bit while the fingers make repetitive movements, so I find that...
Decisions, Decisions | The Prancing Otter

Of cats, craft, and enjoying it all…Whee! This entry was posted on March 5, 2013, in Books. These days I’m finding myself, all too often, staring at the computer and wondering what to do next. There is no lack of “things to do,” only the will or ability to decide which one to tackle first. And yes, I do mean tackle – that’s the feeling – that there are many things that need wrestling into line. Ork that I need before I can move to the next major step? But not for a few days yet. And what about that pile ...

Some days (D8) | The Uncommon Zone

One door closes, another opens, but the hallway can be a bitch. Playing in the city (D7). I don’t like Sunday (nights) (D9) →. April 7, 2013. Yeah, some days. Are just right. This was one of those. Nothing momentous happened. But it was a day that flowed. Well, after a slight glitch, which actually got me into the flow, a path that diverged from the initial one plotted but that worked out perfectly. Sometimes you just have to let go and let the road take you where it will. Playing in the city (D7).
Experimenting with Life (Day 5-6) | The Uncommon Zone

One door closes, another opens, but the hallway can be a bitch. Tikkun olam (Day 4.5). Playing in the city (D7) →. Experimenting with Life (Day 5-6). April 4, 2013. I linked to a blog on Simple Mindfulness this morning that was titled Experimenting with Failure. I expected it to be the usual commentary on how you have to fail to move forward, but I was jolted out of my complacency by the very beginning, where she said,. I don’t believe in failure. The word doesn’t have a purpose or meaning in my life.

One door closes, another opens, but the hallway can be a bitch. Experimenting with Life (Day 5-6). Some days (D8) →. Playing in the city (D7). April 6, 2013. Last night, I had fun. It wasn’t ball-busting, get out there and dance on the tables. It was a go experience a totally different type of life fun. (Well, dancing on the tables would have been totally different, but that’s not what happened.). I “follow” a man named Peter Shankman. So I gently admonished them for reading when they should be networkin...

You could add a power trunk to the facelift cars (2001 ) and u se a switch to pop the trunk , but t he remote. Is different and won't support the power trunk. If you want to pop the trunk from the remote, y. Need an aftermarket alarm with a channel for a power trunk. Or the keyless entry module and remote from the pre-facelift car s to swap out .

Photographer. Storyteller. Dad Joke Enthusiast. First Semester at RCC. There are are less than two weeks until the end of the semester, and I’m not actually stressed about finals. For next semester, my parents bought me a Nikon D610 and a fixed 50mm lens with the stipulation that I could not touch it until Christmas. I’m thrilled to have several weeks to get to know my camera well before the start of spring semester. Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window). Click to email (Opens in new window).
