Sunday, 7 June 2015. A walk around Rodmell. Ten years ago, on our tenth anniversary of walking we had lunch at the Abergavenny Arms at Rodmell and what a lovely day it was, I did think for a while that even Ted might remove his tie but I was wrong again. This month's weather was cold, windy and wet and more suited to March than June. 3 brave souls turned out and starting from the pub did a circular walk including a stop for coffee at Itford Farm near Beddingham, the Youth Hostel Association coffee shop.

Monday, 9 February 2015. Tuesday 3rd February 2015. A walk along the Cuckoo Trail. A bit late this month but the Doctor says I am suffering from Swimmers Ear (Otitis Externa) and I haven't been near a wet sponge let alone a swimming pool, it's been a bit difficult try to type and hold my hand to my ear. Thursday, 9 October 2014. Tuesday 7th October 2014. East Hoathly to Chiddingly. The weather forecast for the walk was looking extremely dodgy and on drawing the curtains at 7am it was tipping down with rain, undeterred I just hoped for the best and by 9am the clouds were clearing and by the time we arrived at East Hoathly the sun was out and it was looking good. Thursday, 4 September 2014. Tuesday 2nd September 2014. Another walk around Barcombe. We like the Barcombe area and two of our favourite pubs, the Cock Inn and the Royal Oak just happen to be in the area. Today's walk took us to the south east of Barcombe and we slightly modified the planned walk so as to get back to the Oak by soon after noon. Thursday, 7 May 2015. Tuesday 5th May 2015. A walk around Arlington. I did actually make it to the pub this month with my old pal Reg and we were warmly welcomed by the rest of the group. We were both determined to make it to the pub and so we did. It was a pleasant but very windy day but the walkers all looked as if they had enjoyed their morning and were looking forward to a good lunch.
