Ruminations: June 2005
http://jcooper79.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Thoughts from the John. Wednesday, June 01, 2005. For me, in many ways blogging = relationships in general. I definitely need to work on my relationship skills, too! I know my heart says, "Yes", but I am going to need to put my feelings to action, if things are ever to improve. Well, I can't predict whether my blogging skills will improve all that much, but I believe that with God's help my relationships will grow stronger (Phi 4:13)! May God bless your blogging and relationships, as well!

Ruminations: Sam
http://jcooper79.blogspot.com/2009/02/sam.html
Thoughts from the John. Thursday, February 12, 2009. When Sam was spraying our living room/kitchen/dining room (ok so it is a small space) area, our son, Nash, was watching a Praise Baby. Hey man loved the post. I enjoyed reading about how you were able to start a conversation and even pray with a person who just happened to be at you house. Im glad you shared this. BTW how are you doing these days? February 12, 2009 at 6:57 PM. That is so beautiful, John! May we keep our eyes ever open.

http://jcooper79.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Thoughts from the John. Wednesday, September 21, 2005. I just realized that I have started two. wait this makes it three entries with, "Wow"! Wow, what else can I say? I mean, wow, that is pathetic! Wait that leads me to another question. How many of you LOL, when you type LOL? I never do personally. I guess I would just feel weird laughing out loud with my only company being the computer monitor. I just realized that I sound much more like a know it all or "holier than thou" than I want to sound! So why...

Thoughts from the John. Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Some Thoughts on Fasting. I was reading this morning in Tony Jones. A quote on pg 162 by St. Benedict. "Nothing is more contrary to being a Christian than gluttony." Ouch! I am afraid that I have erred on the side of contradiction more often than I would like to admit. I am humbled by the fact that there is so much hunger and poverty throughout the world, yet I can eat more than my fill anytime I choose. Tony Jones from pg 163. Perhaps we can see, then...

Thoughts from the John. Sunday, September 28, 2008. If you like Donald Miller's and similar writings, check out the Burnside Writers' Blog. 160;They cross-referenced my previous post and there is much good discussion taking place in this forum regarding the role of Christians in politics. Tis the season! Thursday, September 18, 2008. The other day a buddy sent me and a bunch of our friends a link to a website. And, thus, which individual we should vote for on November 4 th. And the other 6 to McCain.

Thoughts from the John. Friday, October 03, 2008. Taken from Rob Bell's and Don Golden's Jesus Wants to Save Christians. Imagine the average youth group in the average church on the average Sunday. Imagine visiting this youth group and having the pastor say to you, “I just can’t get my kids interested in Jesus. Do you have any suggestions? How do you respond? All of the babies and older folks and men and women and widows and students aren’t in the same room, but they’ve gone to separate rooms? This salar...

Thoughts from the John. Monday, July 21, 2008. Susan has recently been accused of holding Nash hostage in the womb! 160; The public outcry demanding his release grows daily in intensity. So to further the cause of releasing our little hostage, she has created the above image. Please feel free to circulate this image to spread the message of freeing this innocent person from captivity. Free Nash! Friday, July 18, 2008. Regardless it is nice to be back in God's country. LOL! Dear Lord, I look forward to wr...

Ruminations: November 2007
http://jcooper79.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Thoughts from the John. Monday, November 19, 2007. I wonder if my love for family mirrors my love for Jesus. I know a lot of words and ways to talk about how much I love my Savior. I know a lot of songs, have even written a couple, and I love to sing about how much God means to me. Yet, I find myself struggling to live out my love for Jesus in tangible ways. Wednesday, November 14, 2007. Sunday, November 11th was Veterans Day. While, my feelings about taking such a pro military stance during our assembly...
