So the wait continues and we are praying in a few more days Nate will be ready for his next round of chemo. Sunday, February 21, 2010. I ask that you all pray for Matt Burpee, (a five year old in Heath battling the same cancer that Nate did). He has started chemo and I remember how sick and weak Nate got. Saturday, October 16, 2010. He finally did it! Mark finally went back to ACU for Homecoming. Mark has not been back since he graduated. 20 years is a long time. But we had a great weekend. Plus, it was my first time to see ACU campus other than driving by it when we are on our way to Lubbock. He got an award for being on the Honor Roll for the first semester! They also did a little dance type thing which you can see by the picture, he thoroughly enjoyed.NOT! Whatever happened to the day when you could buy some pencils and a Trapper Keeper and be ready for school? I have finally finished Collins back-to-school list put out by the teachers from each grade. I had my meeting with the ARD (admissions, reviews, dismissal) committee yesterday and they approved Kaden for special ed preschool based on his medical conditions and wanted him to start right away. So.today was his first day of preschool! Sunday, October 12, 2008. Kaden on the airplane ride. Collin on the ride that made you feel like Superman! Kaden enjoys the rides!

The doctors treating Nate have been very pleased with his progress following the stem cell treatment. Tomorrow Nate will undergo a test to make sure that the cells have grafted like they are supposed to. His counts continue to improve daily and symptoms continue to improve as well. Please continue your prayers for Nate that his improvement would continue and the tests would go well.
