Last night I met with Ato, a new employee at my real estate agent's firm (it was literally his first day, he was so nervous! And hair dresser (double yes! So I made a verbal commitment right on the spot. Who will actually let us into the building (what? March 6, 2009 at 10:39 PM. I had these huge wads of cash that made my heart thump as I walked out the bank trying to catch a cab, hoping no one could really see through my purse as I imagined they all could. Unfortunately, as I was heading out to meet my colleague I glanced at the mirror in the hotel lobby and discovered that all I’d done was create a really clean spot in the middle of an otherwise generally filthy shirt. So I'm thrilled to see that Gossip Girl. Has already embraced this tone, without making any real attempt to be subtle or gradual about it. (Which I think is good, because while I enjoyed the evolution of The O.C. Most of the best television shows about teenagers do this to some extent, but Gossip Girl. And she gets all the wittiest lines!
