The House on the Hill. Edwin Arlington Robinson was born in a small town in Alna, Maine, on December 22 1869. He was the third child to his mother and father, Mary and Edward Robinson. He was a shy but obviously talented man and that's what people say is what led to his success. He died of cancer on April 6, 1935. 8203; Interesting Fact.
