In Tokyo area the day is likely to be the March 18, more than a week earlier than regular season due to warm weather.

The cherry in OKU-NIKKO (Nikko is where the world heritage TOSHOGU shrine is) is one of the few places we could see cherry blossoms in May(cherry blossom in Tokyo area blooms around beginning of April). It blooms high up in the mountain range.
