Maddie the Coonhound: A Super Serious Project About Dogs and Physics. This is part of a daily photo project. As Humphrey travels across the country for a year with Maddie as his sidekick. Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Out For a Walk. Flowers of different shades. Different stages of blooming. As far as the eye can see. A yard not too far from our house has a carpet of these lovely lavender blooms early every spring. Tonight I decided to take a walk and pay them a visit. Along the way I noticed this little playhouse in someone else's backyard. Okay, if this was mine when I was a kid, I wouldn't have bothered to grow up. Seriously, look at that! It's nicer than my first apartment!

Monday, February 28, 2011. David Gray and Lisa O'Neill. We went to see David Gray last night at the Chicago Theatre. A class act. Really enjoyed it, despite some sound issues, feedback, etc. They had crowded the musicians together to get a more intimate feel, which suits his music well, but they were so close together that the roadies couldn’t get in to switch off their instruments between songs. So early this afternoon, Amy and I are on the way to Forest Park to visit. They operate. The nice lady working the shop steered me into Chicago Blues, a collection of hard boiled. By several of them.
