Laquo; fits and starts. The week: slightly premature review. May 14, 2010 by skunkcabbage. Beautiful 5 miles to the garden, lake and back today. 64 and sunny. Nice, slight breeze coming off of the lake. Puts me at around 23 miles for the week, not counting Sunday. We’re going to do a long run this Sunday, probably 10ish. That’s a lot more miles than last week. I’m pleased. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Fuel for the furnace.

February 27, 2010 by skunkcabbage. We got in a beautiful 5 mile run to the lake yesterday. I’m going to count this as my first real run of the spring-summer training season. Patches of ice and snow. Chicago gray. Winter walkers and dogs large and small. It hardly looks or feels like spring outside. And yet, the imperative to step out and run is getting stronger. It moves me. This afternoon I’m writing city council to turn the water fountains on by the lake…. Learning to take myself seriously. I turned up...
