Friday, May 27, 2011. The soil finisher prepares the ground for corn planting. It has disc blades, shovels and a harrow on it. Corn is fussy and needs a good seed bed! I was able to do 90 percent of the soybean planting this year. It was good practice for me! They look pretty good. I also ran the soil finisher. I was able to do 90. Saturday, February 19, 2011. Piece by piece and day by day the acreage is being built up. In just over a week the red oak floors have been installed and stained, the siding has been completed, the painting is nearly finished, all trimwork and kitchen cabinets have arrived, and we are going to begin the tile and backsplash work. Oh and we have interior lights! Finished siding and caulking of the garage. Awaiting the installation of the lights. Chimney wrap to be installed on Monday. Crown molding to be cut.

Today was full of many surprises, including a fully rocked/gravel driveway. We can't quite drive on it yet since it's just the first course of 4-6" gravel. When they get some heavy machines on it, it'll get packed down and be ready for the smaller 1-2" gravel. This is the required attire for yesterday and today's weather. 65279; .
