So that I can add bold and other useful HTML attributes to my data. Until today, none of the special characters that I used within my bold tags presented any issues: *. But, when I got the to the less than sign it was parsed as the opening of another HTML tag, and broke my lovely bold tags! So even though it works on WordPress, this is wrong:.

I installed Visual Studio Community Edition on the Windows 10 Insider Preview and got a pop-up message that told me that I needed to enable Developer Mode. The pop-up told me to go to the Settings. To do this – but the option is not available there. The solution is to open the Group Policy Editor. Select the Allows development of Windows Store apps and installing them from an integrated development environment (IDE).

Unfortunately this website is massively out of date as I do not have time to update it properly. As of January 2016 I am working with Typescript, HTML5 and Node rather than Flex. My CV linked here has been updated. Hopefully one of these days I will be able to do a proper job of this website. Before using Flex I was a Flash actionscript developer for about 4 years. I didn't particularly like Flash as a development environment though and when I tried Flex it was like a breath of fresh air. Flex 2 and 3.
