The posts has been moved to a new domain. This blog isn't maintained anymore. The adress is: http:/ livingprimitively.com/. Sunday, 31 December 2006. Due to visitors I don't have an opportunity to go into the forest whenever I want right now. This does halt the progress on most of my projects. To weigh up I have translated one of my former articles to English. It is partially overlapping with the "Elm Bow" project. Is the trunk straight and even? If not, chances are the grain itself isn't either. Was out...

http://torjusgaaren.blogspot.com/2007/08/fish-trap.html
The posts has been moved to a new domain. This blog isn't maintained anymore. The adress is: http:/ livingprimitively.com/. Sunday, 26 August 2007. I've finally finished my fishing trap. This is the style Patrick McGlinchey uses and Jon have also made one of them. This trap is all willow and was quite frankly a pain to make. The willow bark works fairly well as a binding, but it takes time processing as much as you need. Compared to wickerwork it also seems to slip easier. Recommended Book of the Week.

You can not eat too many of these berries, but they contain a fair amount of sugar and vitamin C. They also store quite well. The Saami hid these for the winter under overhanging waterfalls. I love the taste of these and snack or gather them whenever they are available. The actual colour is more yellow than on the photo. Houses/Cottages for Renting (Norway).

For this location was the only one on the rock where a tiny remnant of its earlier bush-covered glory survived the fell 1918 invasion of shipwrecked Norwegian rats, Rattus norvegicus. Illegitimis nil carborundum: I Have Been A Sheeple for a while
http://illegitimis-nil-carborundum.blogspot.com/2009/05/i-have-been-sheeple-for-while.html
Roughly translated from latin to english "DO NOT LET THE BASTARDS GRIND YOU DOWN" I like "get you down" better but who am I. Monday, May 25, 2009. I Have Been A Sheeple for a while. I just took care of things around the house and did some needed maintenance on the vehicles. Spent some quality time with the family and did some traveling. Having ones head in the sand can be refreshing. Like the old song "Don't Worry Be Happy." That was me for a time. Now its back to reality. That's a post for a later date.
