You will want to take the tree base off the you will see the wires that are holding it together. Take the wire pliers and separate them and the tree branches then can be twisted off. Take all the branches off and set them into lengths. There should be 7 lengths with 6 pieces to each one. Now take your dowel rod and measure 5 inches from the top down.
