We were sad to say goodbye to the children as they had made our first days in Addis very special. In the early morning we started our day at the New Grand Kindergarden and Primary School where Ruth Matias was the Principle (Headteacher). The school was only 2 years old and developing slowly. Primrose Hill Ethiopia Blog. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Having checked in our luggage with Sunita, from Coronation Street, we all set off from Manchester Terminal 3 at 9.30am. We had to make our connecting flight from Heathrow. We then met our guide from the British Council called Bely Addise who drove us to meet the Head of Education, Ato Girma Alemayehu(a very important man) who told us more about what we were to see in Ethiopian schools.
