https://lacewarsintin.blogspot.com/2015/05/update-28th-may-2015.html
Lace Wars in Tin. Thursday, 28 May 2015. Update 28th May 2015. Unfortunately things have been held up by the Waterloo display over at the PA factory in Ireland, so the Russians have still not been released - hopefully soon. Just to keep you interested below are a couple of photos of the figures which Richard Hattersley has painted up for the packaging and PA publicity - the figures do paint up well. Thursday, May 28, 2015. 29 May 2015 at 14:21. They look great, well done! 30 May 2015 at 02:47. Wittenberg...

Lace Wars in Tin: September 2014
https://lacewarsintin.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Lace Wars in Tin. Thursday, 18 September 2014. Light Infantry (2) - Grenz and Pandours. Following on from discussions about Frei Corps and Jager, some thoughts about the Grenz and Pandour. A hole in the PA range which needs filling. There was quite a lot of variation in the uniform worn by the Austrian Grenz regiments, so one of the troop types needs to be chosen. The Pengel and Hurt book on Austrian infantry contains a lot of useful information, including the illustrations and table below. Austrian Gren...

Bearfos Lair: Blacksmith
http://bearfoslair.blogspot.com/2012/02/blacksmith.html
Måndag 6 februari 2012. Here is the last of the villagers from the Friends and Foes miniature range. The Blacksmith like the juggler in the previous post was also a part of the celtic boxed set, and it's marked in the same way on the bottom of the base i.e. "Prince August LC9". Lace Wars in Tin: French Infantry - some more thoughts
https://lacewarsintin.blogspot.com/2015/07/french-infantry-some-more-thoughts.html
Lace Wars in Tin. Friday, 31 July 2015. French Infantry - some more thoughts. Since the post on French Infantry on 31 January there was a lot of discussion about the need for new French moulds (the Karoliners are pretty close), and if there is a need what to put in them. There are still comments coming into that post, which suggests that there is interest in moulds for French infantry, so I have discussed with PA the possibility of doing some after the initial releases of cavalry. Mould 1 - Rank and File.

Bearfos Lair: Barbarian Fighter
http://bearfoslair.blogspot.com/2012/03/barbarian-fighter.html
Tisdag 6 mars 2012. BA3 the last of the barbarian radiers. The base marked in the same way as the other ones with "Prince August BA3". I tried to give him the look of an ordinary rank and file spearman without any fancy shield design and colourful clothing. Prenumerera på: Kommentarer till inlägget (Atom). Visa hela min profil. Bearfos Lair: februari 2012
http://bearfoslair.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Lördag 25 februari 2012. Next one up is the Viking Berserker BA2. I tried to do a bit of free hand work on the shield but otherwise noting special. But this miniature might be responsible for some of the confusion regarding different product codes used by PA for the figures. In the No. 3 catalogue. Which some collectors are looking for. Fredag 24 februari 2012. A sense of scale. The man-at-arms were released as part of the later series of fantasy moulds. From left to right BA2, FG8 and GH3. I also tried ...

Lace Wars in Tin: A head count.
https://lacewarsintin.blogspot.com/2015/04/a-head-count.html
Lace Wars in Tin. Sunday, 5 April 2015. After a couple of posts with eye candy, time for something a little duller (but I've added in some photos of Richard's painting to spice up the links from other blogs links - these are painted for the front of the packaging). For my own purposes, to see what is missing from the range, I use a spreadsheet showing what headgear and hair various troop types wore. The boxes in the sheet are shaded to show what is already in the moulds, and what else is planned. Current...
