Lovely Samira and her mum have cooked for us all today…When she told me to come round to pick it up I was expecting a few pakoras but as you can see they have cooked enough for an army…mash’Allah…. Right now, we are enjoying lettuces, cucumbers and beets in salads…if only the tomatoes would hurry up ….first batch of peas has been podded and frozen….waiting for the second batch to have a substantial amount to cook a decent meal…. Iwish someone had told me that you get 10/12 pumpkins per plant! Still waiting on the sweetcorn …insh’Allah…. And this is tonight’s dinner…. Salaams y hasta la vista,.

A bittersweet moment….our broad beans have been attacked firstly by black fly and then by broad bean rust. 8230;so no option but to get rid of the whole lot….the washing up liquid method was working against the black flies but the rust was the killer…oh never mind some you win some you lose….Alhamdulilah. I thank you for your patience, I have been waffling for days about nothing much in particular. going off on tangents here and there. and at last you are to be rewarded with something to look at.
