Piha Tales: A couple of Poems
http://pihatales.blogspot.com/2010/03/couple-of-poems.html
Sunday, March 28, 2010. A couple of Poems. This is about riding my bike up to the top of the Piha Hill - I like the rhyming in this! Its a long slow pull. Up the Piha Hill. As this old bike of mine. Travels up the incline. My thigh muscles start to burn. And my tummy is a-churn. As I struggle my way. Up the hill this day. My breath comes quick. And my brow is slick. With sweat thats wet. And I'm not there yet. I will reach the top. Then I can stop. This pushing of the cranks will end. Just past this bend.

Live by the river: Spending money
http://live-by-the-river.blogspot.com/2012/10/spending-money.html
Live by the river. Sunday, October 14, 2012. Another thing I've noticed recently is that because I am trying to save money so hard for going home, all I want to do is spend it! This month has been a write off anyhow, as I needed to buy an outfit for a wedding I'm going to, but I just seem to keep thinking of more and more things that I 'need'. It reminds me of before I left NZ for the very first time writing (yes - it was writing back then! Two weeks till payday and there is lots more I need yet!

http://live-by-the-river.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-final-hurrah.html
Live by the river. Tuesday, October 02, 2012. The final hurrah - in for the ride anyone? And so all good things must come to an end. this blog is on its last legs, but its got three months left in it yet! But it is going to be a wrench, and emails singing my praises make it both easier and harder. However I do remember getting the same from TPK when I left all those moons ago, and I remember feeling the same, so I just have to keep to the path :-). Tuesday, October 02, 2012. Learning and Leading in a New World. Tuesday, February 10, 2015. The Way We Have Approached (and Evolved) Catering for NCEA. As an area school we are in a great position to personalise learning. We have small numbers of learners. We know our learners really well. We will have learnt with them and from them for 10 years by the time they hit a need to demonstrate their learning through qualifications. It wasn't personalised- learners selected their classes each term, and there was differentiation of what wa...

http://learningandleadinginanewworld.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Learning and Leading in a New World. Sunday, September 21, 2014. Just over 12 months ago we started this blog as a staff. The last 12 months has seen many exciting steps on our journey as a school. We have said goodbye to some key foundation staff, but we have also welcomed other staff. We have moved into our brand new buildings, after three years in temporary and less than ideal physical conditions. We have continued to evolve our thinking and our practice. We've taken part in some exciting PLD. Best to...
