Interesting and fun explanation of various printmaking processes I happened upon during some Wednesday interweb wandering. Oh, you've seen it before? Why am I always the last to know? In with the new! May all good things come your way in 2013! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A blog intended to record what is going on in my studio, but usually it's a bunch of drivel. Betsy's Studio Diary: August 2013
http://betsybestspadaro.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Here are my work-a-day, idle moments recorded on paper. Don't tell my boss. Where has the time gone? Are we really sitting smack-dab in the middle of August? My head is hung in shame for my inattention to this blog. As I've written many times before, I've been busy. Really. Just not busy in my studio. Errgh. Here's how I've spent my summer vacation, so far. June: cleaning, sorting, culling, boxing, installing, spreading, painting, washing, staining.

Betsy's Studio Diary: September 2014

Left off. The final version of the print will show up on my website soon. After laying down the sky I added a skin tone and blocked out the dress shape. A few more additions including that garish yellow. To tone down the yellow I added a strong neutral to the suitcases. This is when things started to get away from me. Here is where the print sat for over a week while I pondered how to make some sense out of the bottom half of this image. Everything seemed all too flat and not very interesting. Gloria Fre...

Betsy's Studio Diary: fini

For many years now I have played with this idea/image, and finally, at long last, my thoughts and doodles have made it to paper. Faith, Hope and Charity. It will now be stashed away, out of sight, and I'll not look at it for a few weeks. We need a little time apart. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Third Age Musings: 05/04/15

Chronicles of a mature learner. Monday, 4 May 2015. This is what I've been doing. The photographs are in the order I took them. As you can see, I enjoy working on more than one thing at a time. I planned a little dandelion triptych which I started by painting on to pelmet weight Vilene. I then filled it in with lots of machine embroidery. Colouring in with the sewing machine. Then I spent my 'birthday money' on a set of printing blocks from Colouricious. I have booked myself a place, what an opportunity!

Making, reading and collecting books, drawing fish, marbling, assemblage arts, photography, photo apps, gardening, enjoying grandchildren, family, friends, dogs, cats, NSW Central Coast beaches, travel. Saturday, 22 February 2014. Be careful what you wish for. Sure, it was leaning at a 40 degree angle, hanging over the fence and almost onto the road, branches were dropping frequently, and there was a massive crack along the main trunk but it was an interesting shape and magnificent when in bloom. And now...
