The road ends at a heritage lodge built in 1929 by a family as a vacation residence. Two storeys high it boasts some 5000 square feet of living space. On the ground floor, a grand living room with a huge stone fireplace, a dining room/sitting room, and a kitchen. On the second floor, eight bedrooms surround an impressive central hall with an open-pole rafter roof. Throughout, the flooring is the original one-inch tongue and groove hardwood. There is. By car just over three hours from Toronto and its international airport. By plane from Toronto to North Bay and by car to the lake or by float plane from North Bay regional air services. A town about a half hour drive from the property where you can find all the necessities of everyday life. By car from town, there are excellent municipal roads. About 4 km before the property line, the road leaves the power. Ahead is an esker, the effluvia thrown up. By the last glacial age and the road follows.

This pristine lake is more than a kilometer and a half long and three hundred meters wide and is fed by a creek rising in Algonquin Park and by springs rising in the surrounding highlands and the lake bed. There is no agriculture, industry, or ambient light for miles in any direction. As far as we know, there have been no power motors on the lake; we can vouch for the last thirty years.
