Post my internship, I assimilated various design recommendations from the service model to design 'Accompany' a mobile application that accompanies a cancer patient or caregiver during their visit to MSK. This mobile application provides functions that would make the appointment experience more fluent and less stressful. It helps patients anticipate what to expect, whom to meet, how to get there, communicate waiting times, explore resources, document appointment notes and book transportation.

This was the outcome of an academic project at the Institute of Design where we partnered with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to design the future of their post treatment cancer care experiences. There are three main components: Emospect, Emolight and Emoweigh. Collectively they help the cancer affected Introspect, Express and Communicate to improve their emotional wellbeing.
